You know when you get that feeling.. Something bad is going to happen..

11 months ago when I had to make a tough decision and walk away from a company that I really did truly love when I started.. It was because of what was happening around me, and because my inner voice was telling me this is going to blow up and blow up big and I want no part of it.. I love the Industry of Direct Sales.. Just as I Love Real Estate,  you find another home you just don’t quit when a company doesn’t fit you…. Those that know me in Real Estate know that change doesn’t scare me.. What was scary in Direct Sales and leaving Visalus was I had to walk away from a team I loved .. I was making good money.. Most of my working team members were making money.. Money each and every one of us needed for our families..  but for me it wasn’t worth my sleep, conscience and integrity.. now I am not saying that those that stayed even though they saw the dogs being enrolled, the fake orders and all the hype.. They truly just don’t see it being a wrong thing to do.. To me it was so wrong and just as I would have walked away from that “Wrong” deal in Real Estate.. I walked away from Visalus.. Now, Financially it hurt.. We had to sell our TOYS.. (RV, MotorCycles) we had for years, to put money back in our household to keep a roof over our head.. I had days when I was like.. I should have just stayed.. maybe my little voice was over reacting.. But todays video shows that is not the case..

And yes I read all 60 pages.. I sat here and read the same stories that were happening to me and I have never talked to these people.. it makes me think.. How many others are out there…I don’t know.. It does sadden me.. but then as the Pastor at my Church said this weekend.. What doesn’t break you.. Strengthens you.. That your setback was to position you for your comeback.. You learn along the way.. I know that I have a lot to offer this industry.. The Truthful side..  If you are thinking about the industry of direct sales.. don’t let this scare you away from it.. do your research and pick the company based on the people you can trust.. get to know them.. ask questions and chose the Who.. not the what.. Put your Heart and Soul into it.. Stay True and lead with Integrity.. and just don’t quit.. You will find success..

I am glad I listened to my inner voice.. but at the same time I am sad for all the people I love,who are still at Visalus.. Keeping everyone in my prayers.. Be Blessed ❤

Busy and Blessed

There are many companies you can align yourself with, they all have a product, the biggest difference is who you chose to partner with and what you put into your business as far as effort and time. I chose to go to Nutrie because I knew I was partnering with a great group of leaders in a company built without hype. Has being in a start up company been tough? Yep it has, but that doesn’t scare me. The reasons I came to Nutrie are still the reasons I am with Nutrie. Many have jumped to other companies already but I am here for the long haul and I am blessed by those that have chose to Run with me.

I had a pastor tonight make a reference of Divine meetings coming into his life and he felt him meeting with My business partner and myself was a divine meeting, put in his path by God and I could so relate because I felt the same way when I saw someone I respected make the choice to go to Nutrie, I knew I had to go. I felt it was an answer to my prayers. I have no regrets. I love this company and the people involved. It just feels right. So one meeting at a time, whether it is face to face, in a group or over the phone, in between showing homes, taking listings and negotiating deals, being a mom, a taxi driver (for my kids) and a wife, I will make the time and I will build this team. Who is ready to build with me ❤ I am not “busy and stressed.” I am busy and BLESSED”

So Many Need This one prayer.. Prayer for a New Job…

As I go through my day multi-tasking to get things done.. Although I am self-employed and not really where I thought I would be by this time in my life I do feel humbled that I have the opportunities that I have.. I come in contact with people every day that need more in their lives.. For me I have not been the one to wait on a job, I create my “job” but not everyone has that will or desire to do just that.. And that is OK , I do hate to hear and see fear in their voice and as a part of their expression but all I can do is Pray..  Below are a collection of prayers that I have come a crossed and I hope having them in one spot here will bless someone with just a little more strength to better their day ❤

PRAYER FOR A NEW JOB ~

If you don’t like what you see, look from a different view …

Walking down the beach today I walked past some bird footprints and frankly some bird poop.. That is what I saw and I thought “ewe”. I continued with my walk loving all I see. I love the waves as they break in the sand. So much to see and something different every time I walk. I got to the point where I turn around and I headed back. It wasn’t to long until I was walking back over the footprints and pooh.. but from a different angle I saw something much different. I saw a artful beautiful flower that only nature could paint.. It put a smile on my face and made me thinkツ how often are we dissatisfied or turned off because of how we are seeing things and could that opinion or feeling be changed just from looking from a different angle ツ

So if there is something in your life that you just are not completely happy with, Can that feeling be changed just by changing your view?? My Morning Started…… and It got me thinking…..

I woke up this morning and as a ritual the first thing I always do is to put on my glasses and grab my phone… For example this morning I woke up to 63 emails, several Facebook Notifications, a few @ mentions on Twitter but the most amazing way to start my morning I woke up to a Private Message on Facebook from a new Friend whom I have met from being in Network Marketing, and no she is not on my team… As I reflect over the last year I think of the things that have changed so drastically for me… The obvious ones are clear… I have and still am losing weight… but one probably looks in and thinks that is the most satisfying thing for me… no it’s not… Ok so the next one might think that it is the money… Yes we are making money our first year in Network Marketing and honestly we are making GOOD money, but again not what I find the most rewarding… It is the fact that I know that I have always been the mentoring type that wanted to help all of those out there that I could “succeed”… so much to the point in an effort to stay as productive as I could, my Real Estate Broker offered me a private suite with my own entrance as I would not be so accessible to the young and upcoming agents in the office and all though I loved to mentor them I know that it in turn was taking time away from my business and that the best business decision was to make that change….  6 years ago I guess you can say I went into hiding…”as far as my Real Estate Office went” no more communication with those that really needed my help…The Real Estate industry took a turn for the #!?#?!?? to say the least and basically since then it has been head down and run because if you don’t you wont stay on top… I have done ok… Even with backing off I am still in the top of my field but as I sit here I think, at what expense… I stopped doing what I love to do most…. In that field I stopped mentoring my colleagues…

I started Network Marketing a year ago… I knew I needed better health and I saw a glimmer of fun in this business and a hope for some financial prosperity, but most of all I needed to lose weight… so I jumped in…

Over the last year I have been going to events.. I have been meeting new people, I have built a team that I truly love like family, but most of all there is no hiding… I have been able once again to offer advice to any one that needs it… to once again just be the person my heart wants to be… no more hiding for me… My only wish was I would have found this industry years ago….

Now I started writing this blog because I awoke this morning to a Private Message from a person that is not even on my team, a person that does not have any benefit to be nice to me because I can not physically support her business… someone who spoke from the heart and she simply wrote to me this morning ” I love your amazing heart and ability to be genuine!!! You are the most authentic person and I am glad to call you friend!” (and No this person is not on my payroll or in my business…lol ) I do my best to be there for everyone… and for the person that left me this message… “I love your heart too and very blessed to call you a friend also..” Thank you for making my day ♥

So if I can offer a word of advice… if what you are doing to make a living is making you hold back a quality that truly satisfies your soul… find something else to do, it simply is not worth giving up what you love to do for something that you think you must do…. because if you are not doing what you love to do then your misery will drown your soul… I know it almost did mine..  no more.. I can honestly say “I am back” and I love how it feels ❤

 

The New Year is upon us….

We just finished out the first week of the brand new year… For me it was filled with exciting announcements.. I am so pumped up to make this the best year ever… I run two business’ and they both look bright coming into this year.. things have picked up in Real Estate and that is great news for everyone in this nation as that will be the one thing that I believe will really get our economy back on track…

But what has me even more excited is I am full swing ahead ready to March to a Billion with the most passionate company I have ever been exposed to in all my years… Now for some you might be thinking “she is not that old” and if that is what you are thinking..thank you for that.. but this 46-year-old grandma has been carving my own path and working since she was 12.. completely on my own at the age of 16… And never have I been as excited as I am right now.

I know that I am taking part of something that will make history… Something that economists will be talking about even just a few short years from now.. something that has never been done before… As Visalus will be the first Company to reach 1 billion dollars in product revenue sales that is launched only in North America… And it should happen as soon as March of this year… The last company that joined the billion dollar a year status did it back in 1986… Wow ! And they were a world-wide company… Visalus is creating History that will be talked about for many years to come…and I and so excited and blessed to be able to say that I am taking part in that…and remember they are doing this today in this economy… Oh and don’t let me forget the 5000% growth over the last 2 years and to top it off, in this economy!

Giving Thanks to Our Veterans on this Veterans Day

Today is 11-11-11… Many are celebrating this day to mark the firsts in their lives.. So many marriages, celebrations, engagements…for this day will come only every 100 years… So I want to start off by saying a heart-felt congratulation for all of those whom are making this their special day in their lives…

For me the 11-11 part in which that comes every year… Is a day that I actually think about all through the year… Our Veterans, who sacrifice so much so we can have so much more… The unselfishness of each and every soldier is a character that God instilled in these people to truly be the angels of our world..

My Father served on The United States Air Force…  I never knew him personally after infancy as life between my mother and my father seemed to get in the way… He is now passed away.. One of the only photo’s I have of him with me, He was in his uniform.. he was a handsome man… I had read a letter that was addressed to him from the United States honoring him for his duties while he supported the Green Berets, not exactly sure what that means but never the less I am very proud to say he is my dad…

So on this very special day that comes once a year… I encourage you to think of the Veterans in your life, think of all the veterans that have sacrificed so much so that we can be all that we can be, do all that we do, and to live a life free of hostility here in the USA.

Our Soldiers…

Freedom for many has been taken for granted..

Multiple jobs…

As it states in my about me I am a Mom, Wife, Grandma, Real Estate Broker and a Network Marketer…

Now when I started this blog originally I was not even into Network Marketing… So really that is why that category In my life is the last one listed… Now of course the Mom, Wife, Grandma will always be first but it has become very clear to me that maintaining a balance in all areas can be a struggle…

Network Marketing has given me a professional avenue to travel down that I so very needed as for me in this Economic down turn Real Estate had become a job not a passion. I am a passion driven person so the every day depressing tasks of selling foreclosures had started to take a toll on me in all levels…

Just 8 months ago I got introduced to Visalus… I have met the most incredible people.. Have a growing team of more then 325 and a great income coming in and I know in my heart that I will be with Visalus for a lifetime…. I have lost more then 60 lbs on the 90 day challenge and my husband has lost more then 50… so we have tremendous passion for the products.. A have a huge love for our team and we are definitely all in….

What I didn’t see was my kids are suffering… For the first time in there 15 years they seen us gone a lot… Not home in the evenings and I thought, they are older now they will be fine…

I failed to see little signs and now come to a realize that my former honors student is failing…. So how do you balance all you do…. For me and my husband we will start doing events separately so one of us will always be with our kids… I need to remember my why and that is to create a better tomorrow for them and to able to allow them experiences they would not have otherwise…

If chasing that dream for them is putting them at risk.. Then the dream needs to be chased in a different manner…. I Will never give up on those dreams but I know enough to make adjustments to make sure all is handled…

So for all the families out there that struggle at balance, I am here to tell you that we all have those struggles… Don’t ever quite… Just make adjustments and continue to move forward..

I love my kids and my family… You are my why ❤

Refocussing after a crazy summer…

Well for me, my kids just went back to school, and like many working parents out there that is a complete shift in your schedule… I am finding myself getting back on track to the schedule that I keep when they are preoccupied nearly 7 hours a day. It is a time to get productive during those hours and really get your work done.

Some tips to make that happen:

The evening before write down your “to do list”, I tell my team that even though you are working a home based business, it is a business and you must treat it that way!

Start everyday at the same time, make yourself punch that time clock…

Work off your “to do list” which should have at least 5 specific tasks that you will accomplish during your work time.

When I say specific, I really mean specific. Don’t write down “phone calls as a task”, Get out your list, ( remember rule #1 always be adding to or recreating your list) Make that task say, I will connect via phone or personally with ___________ and make it happen in a positive way.. ( no stalking allowed ) Keep in mind that all though I am a huge fan of Facebook, don’t use Facebook as a form to complete this task… You can however use Facebook as a tool to get you to where this task can be completed… Example.. ” Hi Joe, I am super excited to get caught up on how our lives are going, let me buy you a Iced Tea at Starbucks and let’s catch up” but don’t consider the task complete until you have had verbal communication with Joe!

Follow-up with the leaders on your team and see how they are doing, Offer your assistance, remind them that you are available for three way phone calls and get them to plug into you!! Staying connected with your team especially the leaders is so important.

Make yourself available every week at a specific time that your entire team know they can get in front of you. Now as you grow just as I have, my out of town teams know, I am available over the phone always and their numbers are stored and there calls take priority over anything!!

For my in town team members we have a standing Party every Tuesday Night at 6:30!! We have so much fun, We introduce new people, Answer questions but most of all it just keeps us plugged in to each other and we love it! We are also looking at systems that we can get a live webinar streaming into the room to share the fun with our out of town teams… (coming soon)

Have as one of your tasks, Pas out 5 samples… Most home based business are direct sales and that means you probably have a product or service that you can be sampling out… This is a must!! If you are not getting your product out there!! You won’t sell it!

Update your data base, refresh email campaigns that are running through your back office and make sure there is no contact requests that you have missed that have come through your back office… Seems menial but it is so important!! Most companies provide a back office for a nominal fee, my companies is $29.00 a month and that consists of a personal secretary, 7 websites to promote my business and a success library! love it and it is a must, so utilize what your company provides.

Most of all have fun…. I made the choice to enter this work place and it was the best choice I ever made, not just for me but for my family… you to with a little training can be self sufficient working at home…

As a Real Estate Broker I use these principles when building that business so for me it was easy to transfer these same principles into my Network Marketing Career… If you came a crossed this blog because you were doing a internet search on working from home call me… Just 6 short months ago I was a person that was a part of the 96 percent that say, I won’t do Network Marketing… I have built to a prosperous team and a nice 6 figure yearly income in just 6 short months… Simple working principles is all I have done… If I can do this, I know you can too!!
